2 Days Camp Ndunda Falls, Sagana Rapids

Day 1

We depart for Embu county after breakfast, which is a two hour drive from the capital along the Nairobi-Meru highway. We shall arrive at Camp Ndunda Falls which is the outdoor adventure destination in the county . You shall enjoy a couple of outdo activities, ranging from individuals to groups. These activities include zip lining, canopy walk, boat ride, rock climbing, nature trail, visit to the waterfalls, and bonfire. We shall have our lunch then in the afternoon we shall take a drive to the Mwea National Reserve which is located within Mbeere District, in Embu and take part in the afternoon game drive. The reserve has savannah ecosystem which comprises of small hills with bushy vegetation and scattered large trees. Other areas are open grasslands while along the main rivers, large trees with thick undergrowth are found. Trees mainly found within the ecosystem are the different Acacia species and baobab trees.  The ecosystem’s main features are the meeting point of rivers Tana and Thiba, Kamburu and Masinga hydro-electric dams, which harbour variety of biodiversity.

Major wildlife attractions include the  elephants, Rothschild giraffes, Common zebras, Lesser kudu, Buffalo, Water Buck, Bush buck, Impala, Velvet Monkeys, Aardvark, Yellow baboons, Grants gazelle, Dik dik, Cape hare, Warthog,  Black backed jackal, Duiker, Sykes monkeys, Genet cat, Slender mongoose, Stripped ground squirrel, Dwarf mongoose, Crested porcupine, Rock Hyrax, Tree Hyrax and tortoise. Hippos and crocodiles are also found in the dams and rivers. Different birds and reptile species have been recorded in the reserve.

Our dinner and overnight stay will be at Izaak Walton Inn.

Day 2

After breakfast, we shall check out of the hotel and start our journey to Sagana Rapids which is located in Sagana, Central Kenya just 30 minutes drive from the city of Nairobi. On arrival, we shall embark on the adrenaline filled activities which include; white water rafting, kayaking, bird watching, sport fishing, rock climbing, bungee jumping, river trekking, river glides & river boarding.

After lunch, we shall begin our journey back to Nairobi. Our driver will drop you back at your city hotel.
