8 Days Golf and beach safari

Kenya has about 40 golf courses – Second to South Africa country in Africa. Of which 12 are 18-hole, 10 of which are used for championship events. 6 are within a 20 mile radius of Nairobi – Kenya’s bustling capital. The weather in Kenya is ideal for golf all year round.

Day 1

Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi and proceed to the Windsor Golf Hotel & Country Club, the only hotel in Nairobi with a championship golf course as its front lawn. The Windsor offers a complete accommodation and
golfing experience.

The Windsor’s 18 hole championship course threads its way through coffee farms and indigenous forest, it boasts of lush, springy fairways, fast true greens and an array of water hazards. In addition, the bird life is abundant and you will also encounter Sykes monkeys and the occasional dik dik as you play. Dinner and overnight at Windsor.

 Day 2

After breakfast play a round of golf at Windsor followed by lunch at the Windsor Terrace or Poolside. Spend the afternoon at leisure or choose to take excursions to the City of Nairobi, Karen Blixen, or the National Museum. Dinner and overnight at Windsor.

Day 3

Start with an early breakfast then proceed to Muthaiga Golf Club, one of Kenya’s pioneer golf courses that has for years, hosted the country’s most prestigious golf events, the Kenya Open where upcoming and returning pros compete in the African leg of the European Challenge Tour. A good number of well known golfing personalities such as Vijay Singh, Seve Ballesteros and Ian Woosnam have made this a successful stop enroute to the European challenge.

The course has just undergone a complete redesign making it a brand new golfing experience for returning golfers. Afternoon excursions to the City of Nairobi, Karen Blixen, National Museum available on request. Dinner on this night will be at the Carnivore  Restaurant, one of the city’s premier sea food outings. Overnight at Windsor.

 Day 4

Depart for Jomo Kenyatta International Airport after breakfast for onward flight to Mombasa. Proceed to Leisure Lodge Resort which is located in the southern part of Kenya’s renowned coast and is an excellent option for a golf & beach holiday.

The 18 hole championship course is complemented by a grand tourist class hotel. Play a round of golf followed by dinner overlooking the Indian Ocean. Overnight at Leisure Lodge Resort.

Day 5

Play a round of golf immediately after breakfast then relax on the beach or choose to go on excursions or participate in beach sporting activities e.g. snorkeling, deep sea fishing, visits to the marine park and visits to Mombasa old Town which has plenty of historical sites. Dinner and overnight at Leisure Lodge Resort.

Day 6

Depart Mombasa after an early breakfast then proceed to the Windsor Golf Hotel and Country Club in time for an afternoon round of golf. Dinner and Overnight at Windsor.

Day 7

Have a late breakfast and enjoy the morning at leisure. Proceed to Karen Country Club, which is located in the famous Ngong Hills and is an admirably maintained course with strong traditions and high standards. It is considered by some to be one of the most attractive due to its profusion of flowers and trees. Karen Country Club is one of the top eighteen-hole courses and has hosted the Kenya Open several times. After playing the Karen Course, have dinner at the world famous Carnivore Restaurant, where all sorts of meat items (including game meat) are served in traditional barbeque stakes. Overnight at Windsor.

 Day 8

Depart Nairobi and transfer to airport for your flight home.
