The Trout Tree Restaurant
The Trout Tree Restaurant is located less than 100m off the main Kiganjo-Nanyuki Road, on the Burguret River and 3km from Nanyuki Civil Airstrip. Â Built in and around a huge Mugumo (Sacred Fig) Tree, the restaurant serves fresh trout from the trout ponds below, char-grilled to perfection.
The menu also includes prime Laikipia beef and vegetarian options, while at weekends a kids’ menu is available and the pizza oven is fired up to offer a variety of delicious pizzas. Â The restaurant can seat upto 60 people and has three troupes of resident Colobus Monkeys and several resident Tree Hyrax, as well as an abundance of bird life.
