Village Market
The Village Market is a large and eclectic mix of stores and restaurants, as well as a sophisticated shopping center. It is the longest-running market in Nairobi, and has expanded to include events like the Maasai Market, which brings together over 400 artisans from all over Kenya who specialize in ethnic relics. The Village Market is located in Gigiri, one of Kenya’s largest shopping complexes with over 150 stores.
Karura Forest- Sigiria
Karura Forest is a quiet and tranquil park perfect for nature lovers who want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The 10k trail is scenic and offers a unique opportunity to experience natural beauty at its finest. There are also picnic tables, off-leash dog areas, a plant nursery, and tennis courts available for use.
Paradise Lost, Kiambu
The picnic ground Paradise Lost, Kiambu is a great place to enjoy the natural beauty of the area and have some fun activities with your family. It’s close to Kiambu Town, so you can easily get to it by car. There are many attractions nearby, like a horse / camel riding area and a waterfall view.

Visitors can register on the UNON website for specific tour times and should be prepared for airport-like security checks. The compound is considered one of the most beautiful in the world, making it a must-see for visitors to Nairobi. There is a small fee for both residents and non-residents, but it is reasonable.

National Museum of Kenya
The National Museum of Kenya (NMWK) is a museum in Nairobi, Kenya. It has collections on East African heritage and history, including paintings, tribal artefacts, and a skeleton or two. The museum also houses collections on nature, culture, and contemporary art. The main attraction is the early man section with fossils dating back to 18 million years ago
Snake Park
The Snake Park is a zoo with a wide range of snakes, crocodiles and tortoises in glass and open-air enclosures. The park was founded in 1961 to provide an ever-present fascination and to help with the rearing of snakes.
